Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) appears to be making a bit of a come back today.
With News due from recent Government discussions maybe a leak of good news is moving the market in advance of the RNS.
Or it could be that Gold is back up above $1440, as the water - AMD - did not stop the mines production, so cash-flow and turnover maintained.
But, Do Your Own Research and share your knowledge with us all?
Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) 1 Month Chart Breaking To The Upside:

Looks like today CRND may start to trade above the 20 day moving average. It will be nice when the share -price also moves above the 50 and 200 day moving average. Perhaps by next weekend if the expected news is good and positive. IMHO
The MACD is now becoming positive and giving a BUY signal.
The RSI is moving up nicely and giving a BUY signal.
If the price gets above the 200 day moving average the Parabolic SAR, will start a new Up-Trend.

I was checking the date of last years Annual Report Release for Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) and note it was on the 29th April 2010.
If it is released on the same date this year, there are not actually very many trading days left with all the coming Bank Holidays.
I think with Gold Now above $1500 per ounce, we should start to see some profits Generated. IMHO

Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) is doing well on a day when most shares are Red. A Very good sign for future growth. IMHO
This interview may explain why Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) share price has been pushed down by the hedge funds:

They talk about Gold Stocks and oil stocks after about 10 minutes in to the recording. The player is just below the photo. You may need to download an update if you have not used this site before.
I noticed the Parabolic SAR has today started a new up-trend to support the share price. Perhaps this is one reason for today's 16% Rise.

Following News on Pumps Test:
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=10931440
... When asked about the mining shares specifically Embry had this to say, “Well I think they are finally starting to reflect reality, I mean I was shocked when gold was having this breakaway move over the last while and the shares were getting pummeled. You now my view on this, I think there is a computer algorithm program that’s being used to discourage people from getting into gold shares by making them act counterintuitively.
Jim Sinclair made an excellent point at the GATA Conference when somebody asked him, ‘What is going to make the gold stocks move?’ He very simply said one thing, ‘Value.’ As the gold price works higher, clearly the value of these things, the net asset value and their capacity to being in cash flow and earnings is going to improve dramatically.
They (mining shares) are going to get so cheap that suddenly people will realize they are an even better alternative to the bullion and they are going to start piling in and the short positions are going to have to be covered. I’ve always said and I maintain that when this happens you are going to be amazed at the price actions in the gold stocks to the upside.”

This could be good for small Gold mining shares like Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) and Gma Resources (LON:GMA) which have been moved down recently. IMHO
Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) - Come rain or shine, there's gold in them there mines.
But can Central Rand Gold fight the elements for long enough to get the precious metal?

This video may be the reason for recent rises in Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) share price. IMHO
Quarterly Report for the period ended
30 June 2011
Highlights
• Total gold production at Mogale Gold 1 increased by
33% to 223kg (7,192 oz) compared to the previous
quarter.
• Significant 58% increase in total gold production
during the second half of the financial year compared
to the first half.
• Gold-bearing ore from Central Rand Gold was
processed during the quarter as part of a three-month
pilot project, contributing to total gold production.
• A record pour with a bullion weight of 26.41kg
(841.90oz) was produced at Mogale Gold 1 (including
CRG ore) on 19 April.

Should be due an update on this joint venture soon, i.e. August 30th IMHO
Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) Should also be publishing their own results around the same time too.
Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) is Mining 9 - 10kg of Gold per week:
If you watch this video it says "Mining 9 - 10kg of Gold per Week" 3 minutes 50 seconds into the recording:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mS0ijYJzE0o&feature=related
I do not think the AMD is the big issue for Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND) as they have enough surface or near surface resource for the next year’s production.
What would make the difference is the increase in the price of Gold. Current cost of production $1400 per Troy Oz. Market price today $1725 production profit = $325 per Troy Oz.
If Gold goes to $2,500 by Christmas, the profit per Troy Oz will increase to = $1,100 per Troy Oz.
Production is expected to continue for the next 12 months at 1,000 Oz per month x $1,100 per Troy Oz giving a monthly income of $1.1m.
Or $13.2m for the 12 month period.
I think profits can be increased further:
By the restarting of the Tailing process, which was announced in the IMS:
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=11038034
Also, String of Pearls Concept – having 3 mines employing 400 people, instead of the current one, stretching across the licenced area.
http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/KWN_DailyWeb/Entries/2011/11/17_Paul_Brodsky_-_Gold_Trading_at_80_Discount_to_Intrinsic_Value.html
IMHO
And if Gold doesn't get to $2500/oz by Christmas (or ever) or heads to $1500 or even stays at $1725??
