Highlights from my Portolio
Today has been one of those days. The economic news is mostly good but that means less chance of QE so everything falls. How peverse is that. The best that can be said for the day is that I am not down by much!
Alliance Pharma (LON:APH) ticked down, no idea why but I cannot think of a single reason to sell it.
Central China Goldfields (LON:GGG) got sold on profit taking and gold price falling.
Lees Foods Plc (LON:LEE) rose on a tip.
Oilex Ltd (LON:OEX) are drilling for oil using the same technolo Cairn Energy Plc (LON:CNE) used. Speculative buy for me.
Renewable Energy Hldgs (LON:REH) just couldn't be bought when the price was rising and when I did get the broker on the phone I could only buy 5000 at the prevailing price. It wasn't really worth doing but I did it anyway. They own a substantial share in an Australian Wave Energy outfit. It has the potential to be very exciting but having already risen a lot of over the summer, it could be that my timing isn't great.
Senior (LON:SNR) went XD
Vatukoula Gold Mines (LON:VGM) heaved down like the end of the world was nigh. Is it? A forty year mine with 4m oz of gold says it's not. I have traded one position but retain my core holding
Weatherly International (LON:WTI) lurched down on what I suppose is profit taking and a falling copper price. I see no reason to sell. There is no bad news and hopefully only good news to come so I hold tight.
As an aside, I have openend a number of FTSE100 positions I am testing something new @ £1pp. So far I am in profit but the jury is out. More anon.
