Education Development International, the leading UK based provider of accredited qualification and assessment services, announced that it has acquired Sector Training Limited, a consultancy and training provider that serves the further education college market. EDI paid a cash consideration of £450,000 upon closing the deal, and will pay additional amounts over the next three years totalling a further £450,000 conditional on the active involvement of the sellers in the integration of the Sector business.
The acquisition is designed to strengthen EDI’s presence in the further education market by expanding its service portfolio. Sector Training provides professional development and consultancy services for further, sixth form, adult and specialist education colleges, private training providers, local authorities, awarding bodies and governmental departments. It offers courses, conferences and in-house training programs in leadership, funding and finance, curriculum development and other areas relevant to college management teams.
