Forbidden Technologies (LON:FBT), the company behind the market leading Cloud-based video platform FORscene, has signed up production company Twenty Twenty to use FORscene as its logging and rough cut editing platform.

Twenty Twenty is a division of Shed Media, which is one of the UK’s most respected independent television production companies. It has successfully built on the legacy of its pioneering factual formats, the Emmy Award winning Brat Camp and the definitive ‘living history’ series Lads Army and Bad Lads Army. FORscene is being used on Hoarderholics (working title), which is currently in production. It will be rolled out across a number of Twenty Twenty productions in the coming months.

The contract win follows a similar deal announced last week, which will see Princess Productions use FORscene to log its multi-camera production Got to Dance series 3. In total, Forbidden has signed three new UK contracts for FORscene in the last three week. The company’s broadcast post sales have been rising rapidly, with revenue in the six months to 30 June 2011 rising by 94%. In a recent video interview with Stockopedia, Forbidden's CEO, Stephen Streater, explained how the company was planning to expand further in the TV production market.

Jason Cowan, account manager at Forbidden, said: “The adoption of FORscene by a leading UK production company, Twenty Twenty, is further testament to the acceptance of the FORscene platform as an economical and yet user friendly system. We look forward to FORscene being widely adopted across Twenty Twenty productions.”

Hana Canter, head of production at Twenty Twenty, added: “Our production team has used FORscene in the past and requested it specifically above the other options on the market, and I am glad to be able to bring its benefits to Twenty Twenty. Its powerful external access capabilities work well with flexible modern logging workflows, particularly for Regional programmes and it is this area which I find particularly attractive.”
