(ii) >20% loss?

You may enter two stocks, one for (i) and one for (ii). More than one person may enter the same stock. The deadline for the June competition is midnight on Thursday 31 May 2012.

Good luck!!!!!

Would Jubileeve it? I'm going for SOCO International (LON:SIA) again on the +20% side. One day this will turn out to be right - but it could just as easily be at any time in the next few months. In this case, however, there is the AGM on 13th June which, though I won't be there, may just provide some illumination in several areas......

....such as CNV liquids production, buyback follow-through plans, first oil from TGT H4 timetable ...and perhaps an indication re reserves updates.

I'm inclined to think that the sector as a whole is oversold (and there may well be more M&A), so I'm holding fire on picking a down target. However, recent experience shows that those who disappoint with the drillbit are often hit hard.

In order of delight I would be pleased if SIA, GKP, CEO, TLW, GBP all make +20% but for the competition I'll try a longshot.

+20% Agriterra Ltd (AGTA.L)
Based on it's 20% carried interest in South Omo, which should get a lot of attention if Tullows 1st Kenyan well is as successful as it could be.

-20% Brders & Southern (BOR.L)
Because risks in the S Atlantic remain high until proven otherwise.

Some wishful thinking on my part:

Serica Energy (LON:SQZ) for the up
Gold Oil (LON:GOO) for the down

Cheers, fb.

FOGL for the 20% up please.

BOR for the down

51% on the first, 49% on the latter, I think the term is a hedged position?

FWIW I am long FOGL, no position with BOR

Sorry for the delay with the results this month. Trying to obtain historical share prices
in the GXG market is not an easy matter!! Firstly, the GXG market web site was down
for the whole weekend and most of Monday as well. Secondly, it does not show
daily historical prices in tabulated or graphical form. Thirdly, I phoned them yesterday
for the prices, the lady did more than enough to put me off from talking....

Anyway, back to the more important stuff..... :-)

Close run between NPE and MOG in June for the >20% Up competition.
NPE came out first with almost 69% up as a result of the takeover!!!
Big congratulations to rnstranslator and repobear!!!

As for the >20% Down competition, GOO is not doing gOOd with 36.2% down.
One minute the CEO is gone, presumably pushed by the Board???
The next minute, the Board is gone, too, more or less, pushed by the main
shareholders??? Trading now suspended. What next??!!!
Congratulations to Strollingmolby and Shareshark for not keeping the faith!!! :-)
