November 2012 Oil Stock Competition: New Nov for >20%......
Wall Street Crash started in late Oct 1929. Black Monday was on 9 Oct 1987. There were other colourful Octobers, too. Since this October is relatively calm so far....November should therefore be a good month.....after "Sandy" passess....;-)
For the November 2012 “>20%” monthly oil stock competitions, which oil stocks will have the greatest move for
(i) >20% gain?
(ii) >20% loss?
You may enter two stocks, one for (i) and one for (ii). More than one person may enter the same stock. The deadline for the November competition is midnight on Wednesday 31 October 2012. Results will be posted on this thread asap after the November month end.

Easy this time:
+20% SOCO International (LON:SIA)
Even though we might have a little longer to wait than November for the final end-game, SOCO International is my +20% share also.
My -20% is Borders&Southern. I am a long-term optimist on this share, but think it will track down in the short-term as they look to put in place partners/funding for their next steps.
Tempted to follow the SIA enthusiasts but I think I'll keep my powder dry on that one for at least another month, but there will be no one more delighted to be proven wrong!
With results due for its Ioanna-1 well in Romania I go for:-
+20% Sterling Resources (SLG.V)
I have no -20% but if Ioanna-1 is a duster it might slip to that level until drilling starts on the follow up well.
