Inditherm Plc, the supplier of heating products using its proprietary carbon polymer technology, made interesting progress in the veterinary market after a report was released by the Norwegian College of Veterinary Medicine on the successful use of the PetTherm system in large animal surgery.
The College of Veterinary Medicine in Norway purchased the Inditherm warming system for use during equine surgical procedures, having been unable to find an effective warming system for horses. The college has, to date, treated over 1000 horses on the mattresses, seeing a noticeable reduction in mortality during anaesthesia and now consider it irresponsible to anaesthetise their patients without the PetTherm system.
