Newmark Security at the Mello April 19th Investor Meeting
Carmensfella of TMF fame is hosting an investor gathering in Beckenham where Newmark Security (LON:NWT) and Judges Capital (LON:JDG) will be featuring. There will be some renowned investors speaking and he will also give a short update on the shareholder activism situations that are developing rapidly.
Many of you will have seen the increasing strength that shareholders are showing at Tandem Group (LON:TND) . There will now be some huge changes to corporate governance and communications with shareholders. The share price has nearly doubled in the last few weeks. There will be many directors watching what is happening there and if only some of those sleepy institutions who operate passive ownership strategies were quite so aware too. Anyway more opportunity for the rest of us and another subject for discussion on Monday.
In terms of logistics:
We shall meet for drinks from 6.30pm and dinner will be after the presentation at 8.30pm. The cost is just £20 per head and the venue for those who have not been before is right opposite Beckenham Junction station which is just fifteen minutes from Victoria on the train. There is also plenty of parking behind the restaurant for those coming by car. Do please email me if you are coming to join us as it also helps the restaurant in preparing the large table settings. Probably a complete red herring, David, but is there any connection between Newmark Security and a company called Louis Newmark who used to have a factory (IIRC) at Elmers End on what is now the Tescos site?

no connection that I am aware of. The company website may help but the company has two main divisions and Newmark is just the holding company. Additionally I should mention that David Cicurel who presented at the October event is coming back to give a short presentation and review the recent results of Judges Capital (LON:JDG) which has been a great investment over the last few months.

Anyone know what time this event finishes tonight? Are trains back to central London straightforward?
MrT, the speakers tend to be on before dinner, say 7:30-8:30ish, followed by dinner which should be through by 10:30pm. Of course there will be stragglers there till later.
A quick look on www.thetrainline.com shows trains from Beckenham Junction to London Victoria at 22:26, 22:56 & 23:26 (taking 21 mins). Trams also depart Beckenham Junction to East Croydon/Wimbledon at 22:20, 22:50, 23:20 etc...
