As a social media site, Stockopedia is reliant on and grateful for the contribution and efforts of its users. The aim of Stockopedia is to build the best site possible for users to share, debate and enhance their views on investing. By contributing, you make the site better for everyone. There are three main ways to contribute on Stockopedia:
Write - by submitting articles for publication on Stockopedia. See our article guidelines and Article Help & FAQ page.
Collaborate - by editing the Encyclopedia. For further info, see our editing guidelines and our Wiki Help & FAQ page.
Discuss - via threads in the Forum. For further info, see our posting guidelines and our Forum Help & FAQ page
The main difference between these forms of content is that, while all contributors can publish more or less at will on the Forum or the Wiki (subject to certain guidelines), Stockopedia will only publish, categorise and potentially re-distribute Articles that are of a high quality and comply with our Article Publication Policy.
From time to time, we select articles, threads or wikis for display on the Front Page. Any content that has been featured on the Front Page will be marked with a "Featured" icon, as will the Contributor's Profile.
If you don't fancy writing, you can also help the site's development in the following ways:
Tagging - By tagging stocks, you help us build a new taxonomy of the UK stock market
Rating - By rating user contributions by clicking our Thumbs Up /Thumbs Down symbol around the site, you help us and other members identify the most value-added contributions from others.
Marketing - By telling all your friends and colleagues about the site or inviting them to join, you help us get the word out. As a new site, this is crucial to help us get to critical mass.
Thanks for any contributions - we really appreciate them!
