Monday, Feb 21 2011 by

Feb 21st 2011 - Edison Investment Research today published a report on Sirius Minerals (SXX.L, LSE:SXX, LON:SXX) entitled "Global Potash Player". In summary, the report says:

Sirius Minerals' £25.3m acquisition of York Potash, announced in January, brings over 600 km2 of mineral rights and was accompanied by the publication of its JORC ‘Exploration Target' of between 3.3 and 6.0 billion tonnes of 67% to 94% of potash bearing polyhalite (19% to 27% K2SO4). The acquisition reinforces Sirius as having a truly global footprint with which to explore and develop its potash projects. Following recent strong performance, the share price is now assuming 3.0bn tonnes, the bottom end of the JORC Exploration Target range.
