Avon Rubber’s IMS has shown the strategy continues to deliver even in this uncertain environment. This is supported not just by long-term visibility in demand, but also by contracts that support deliveries out to 2013. While short-term variation in deliveries against these contracts has resulted in a slight shortfall on our estimates, contract vehicles are already in place and approved, placing Avon in a stronger position than many peers. With sustained growth in Dairy and product development to seed additional organic growth post-2013 in Protection and Defence (P&D), we remain convinced of the merits of the long-term strategy.
