African Medical Investments Plc (AMI) is an Isle of Man-based company engaged in the healthcare sector in Africa. As of February 29, 2011, it was organized into two business segments: Hospitals and Clinics, and Emergency and Evacuation Services. AMI's operations are located in Southern Africa, East Africa and Mauritius. As of February 29, 2012, AMI’s healthcare portfolio included 35 beds at AMI Hospital Maputo, Mozambique, 30 beds at AMI Hospital Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and 18 beds at AMI Hospital Harare, Zimbabwe. Its subsidiaries include: African Medical Investments Tanzania Public Limited, Dactari Medical Investments Limited, Mozambique Limitada and Streamsleigh Investments (Pvt) Limited, engaged in the healthcare services; VIP Healthcare Solutions Limited, engaged in hospital management; AMI Aviation (Pty) Limited, engaged in emergency and evacuation services, AMI Operations Mauritius Limited, a holding company, as well as AMI Property Holdings Limited and EMP Services Limitada.
