Chariot Oil & Gas Limited (Chariot) is an oil and gas exploration company with interests in Namibia. Enigma Oil and Gas Exploration (Pty) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company and is the operator of the license areas. As of December 31, 2012, it had four licenses covering eight blocks spanning 30,504 square kilometers (km2) offshore Namibia. The Northern blocks, 1811A and B (100% owned by the Company), coven an area of 5,481 km2. and are situated to the north of the Walvis Ridge in the Namibe Basin, which is conjugate to the oil producing Santos basin in Brazil. The Central blocks, 2312A and B and the Northern halves of 2412A and B are located within the Luderitz and Walvis Basins and cover an area of 16,801 km2. In May 2013, the Company acquired 100% interest and operatorship in four shallow-water exploration licenses, BAR-M292, BAR-M-293, BAR-M-313 and BAR-M-314, in the Barreirinhas basin, offshore Brazil.
