Corero Network Security plc (Corero) is an international network security company and a provider of distributed denial of service (DDoS) defense and intrusion prevention system (IPS) solutions. The Company’s customers include enterprises, service providers and government organizations worldwide. As of December 31, 2011, the Company was supplying products and services to international customers, and supplying finance and management information software solutions to the United Kingdom education and commercial markets. Corero operates in two segments: Corero Network Security and Corero Business Systems. Corero Network Security designs, develops and delivers network security products. Corero Business Systems designs, develops and delivers finance and management information software to the school, education and commercial sectors. On March 2, 2011, the Company acquired Top Layer Networks, Inc, which was renamed to Corero Network Security, Inc.
