John Menzies PLC operates in two divisions: Menzies Aviation and Menzies Distribution. The Distribution segment provides newspaper and magazine distribution services across the United Kingdom along with marketing services. In addition to delivering the news, it also collects retailers unsold copies, process these back and arrange recycling. Aviation segment provides cargo and passenger ground handling services globally. Aviation also owns AMI, the global wholesale freight forwarder. It also offers a range of passenger handling services, including ticketing, check-in service, baggage services and passenger lounges. Its cargo service provision includes ramp transfer, load management, import and export handling, warehousing, trucking and other track and trace services. In August 2012, its aviation services subsidiary, Menzies Aviation (Menzies), acquired Flight Support from Airbase Holdings Limited.
