Newriver Retail Ltd (NewRiver) is a real estate investment trust. It is a closed-ended property investment company, investing in commercial real estate in the United Kingdom. As of March 31, 2012, it owned 14 shopping centre with c500 tenants and the total portfolio of 1.23 meter square feet. The Company is engaged in a development and refurbishment program that, including joint-owned and managed shopping centers, extends to approximately 500,000 square feet. Its rental income of 22% is derived from covenant food retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco and The co-operative. Its portfolios includes Boscombe-The Sovereign Center, Poole- 97A Dolphin Centre, Witham Netherlands Shopping Center, Skegness-the Hildreds Shopping Center, Freshney Place, Doncaster-Frenchgate and Huddersfield-Packhorse Shopping Center, among other. In November 2012, it acquired two retail units in the Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington, Cheshire, and the long leasehold interest of the New Look store.
