The investment objective of the Company is to provide shareholders with a high level of capital growth through equity investment in the Asia Pacific countries excluding Japan. The Company’s assets are invested in a diversified portfolio of securities in quoted companies spread across a range of industries and economies in the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan. It investment portfolio include Aberdeen Global-Indian Equity Fund, Rio Tinto, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, Jardine Strategic Holdings, Samsung Electronics Pref, Standard Chartered, Swire Pacific B, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, QBE Insurance Group, United Overseas Bank. Its other investment portfolio includes Singapore Telecommunication, City Developments, Siam Cement, PetroChina, Singapore Technologies, BHP Billiton, PTT Exploration & Production and ASM Pacific Technologies. Its investment manager is Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Limited.
