Genesis Emerging Markets Fund Limited (the Fund) is a Guernsey-based closed-ended investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to provide shareholders with a diversified means of investing in developing countries and immature stock markets. The Fund is invested at least 75% in emerging market securities. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012 (fiscal 2010), it invested in Genesis Indian Investment Company (India), Genesis Smaller Companies SICAV (Luxembourg), Anglo American (South Africa), TSMC (Taiwan), Samsung Electronics (South Korea), China Mobile (China) and China Resources Enterprises (China), among others. The Fund invests in sectors, such as financials, consumer staples, materials, energy, information technology, telecommunications, industrials, consumer discretionary, health care, utilities and investment companies. The Fund has a wholly owned subsidiary, Genemar Limited. Genesis Asset Managers, LLP is the manager of the Fund.
