Stockopedia is a website about stocks and shares that’s free to use! Once you’ve registered, you are free to browse, read, follow, and connect with the thousands of professional and private investors that publish high quality stock and investing content on our platform.
We are different to other websites out there - we aim to empower you to make your own investment decisions by delivering the widest range of content on the stocks that matter to you.
* We gather the latest investing ideas from professional sources, newsletter writers and our users on the site.
* The community categorises the content, discusses and votes on the content.
* We deliver you the most relevant personalised content based on your interests.
* We share the best ideas with our partners around the Web including Bloomberg, Newsnow and more.
We don’t run Stockopedia - you do! You decide what’s good and what’s not - which lets others know what’s worth reading, which contributors are worth listening to and which companies are worth your time. Your actions help guide the editorial policy which is increasingly driven by our contributors. Come, sign up and get involved - it’s more fun here than on the dinosaur websites of old!
What’s with the name Stockopedia?
Stockopedia was borne out of a frustration with the existing offerings available for online investors, particuarly for small to mid cap stocks. We’ve tried to bring together the best parts of Forums, Blogs, Wikis and popular listing sites like Digg to create the first social stock market website. We chose the name Stockopedia as it evoked many of the web trends we’ve been influenced by, and puts you the user in charge.
Stockopedia combines high quality professional content from publishers like Edison and Equity Development with the very best investing blogs and our own Stockopedia news and interview coverage. Every article, document or post on the ste is ratable and commentable and our community has very exacting standards. We don’t tolerate spam, misinformation or market abuse on the site and offenders are quickly evicted - but if you post good meaningful content, you’ll find you are voted up to be one of our top contributors bringing further recognition and wider readership.
