FINANCIAL BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 27 December 2012, Cineworld Group plc revenues increased 3% to L358.7M. Net income increased 16% to L27.7M. Revenues reflect an increase in demand for the Company's products and services due to favorable market conditions. Cineworld Group plc (Cineworld) is an investment holding company. The Company’s subsidiaries are principal activity is the operation of cinemas in the United Kingdom and Ireland for the exhibition of films and related retail activity. Cineworld shows a range of film products, including non-English language titles, British releases and independent American productions. During the fiscal year ended December 29, 2011, the Company had also shown Polish releases. Cineworld is also a venue partner for several festivals, including the Bradford International Film Festival, the Jameson Dublin Film Festival and the Glasgow Film Festival. Cineworld operates a subscription service called Unlimited, which is a fixed monthly (or annual) subscription, which enables customers to watch two dimensional (2D) films at its cinemas. Cineworld operates 79 sites, of which 76 are multiplex sites with five screens or more. As of December 29, 2011, Cineworld installed digital projectors at 75% of its screens.
