FINANCIAL BRIEF: For the six months ended 31 March 2013, Diploma PLC revenues increased 10% to L139.7M. Net income increased 6% to L16.5M. Revenues reflect Life Sciences segment increase of 18% to L46.7M, Controls segment increase of 8% to L42.5M, Seals segment increase of 5% to L50.5M, United Kingdom segment increase of 9% to L36M, Rest of Europe segment increase of 2% to L19.7M. Diploma PLC is an international group of businesses supplying specialized technical products and services. The Company operates in three sectors: Life Sciences, Seals and Controls. Life Sciences are suppliers of consumables, instrumentation and related services to the healthcare and environmental industries. Seals are suppliers of hydraulic seals, gaskets, cylinders, components and kits for heavy mobile machinery and industrial equipment. Controls are suppliers of specialized wiring, connectors, fasteners and control devices for technically demanding applications. In December 2011, it acquired J Royal Co. Inc.
