LOTTE SHOPPING CO., LTD. TO CANCEL LISTING OF DRs ON THE MAIN MARKET OF THE LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE
Seoul - April 26, 2017 - LOTTE SHOPPING CO., LTD. ("Lotte Shopping" or the "Company") (LSE: LOTS), a SouthKorean company mainly engaged in the operation of department stores and discount stores, announced today in accordance with Listing Rule 5.2.8.R that it has requested (i) the UK Listing Authority to cancel the listing of the Company's depositary receipts ("DRs") representing its common shares on the Official List and (ii) the London Stock Exchange to cancel the DRs' admission to trading on its Main Market.
It is anticipated that cancellations of the listing and admission to trading will take effect on May 30, 2017. The DR facility will be terminated and the DRs will not be listed on another stock exchange.
The Company decided to cancel the listing and to terminate the DR facility in light of the low trading volume of the DRs on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and the fact that the DRs remaining outstanding represent less than 0.2% of the Company's issued and outstanding common shares.
