Wincanton plc (Wincanton) is engaged in contract logistics services business, which designs, implements and operates a range of supply chain management solutions. The Company operates in two segments: contract logistics and specialist businesses. Its contract logistics business focuses on warehousing and transport solutions for customers in sectors, such as retail, construction, manufacturing, energy, bulk food and defense. Wincanton’s specialist businesses provide expertise in records management, fleet solutions and container logistics. On July 29, 2011, the Company completed the sale of its Netherlands based logistics business to JCL Transport und Logistik GmbH (JCL). On August 31, 2011, the Company completed the sale of its German Road operations and businesses in Central and Eastern Europe to Raben group (Raben). In January 2012, the Company completed the disposal of its Mainland Europe operations.
