FINANCIAL BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 30 September 2012, Grainger PLC revenues increased 5% to L311.4M. Net income decreased 99% to L400K. Revenues reflect UK Residential segment increase of 5% to L211.4M, Retirement Solution segment increase of 37% to L35.5M. Grainger plc is a holding company operating in five segments: UK residential, Retirement solutions, Fund and third party management, UK and European development; and German residential. The UK residential business primarily consists of properties subject to a regulated tenancy. Its retirement solutions business offers home reversion plans with a range of features through its Bridgewater business. Its fund management and residential investments business comprises its investments in funds and joint ventures and the income from asset and property management fees. Its development business focuses on value creation by assembling residential development and mixed-use opportunities, obtaining or amending planning permissions, installing infrastructure and then either selling or self-developing plots. In February 2013, it acquired its first build to rent scheme, through its agreement to purchase the residential element, comprising 100 units, of a regeneration scheme in Barking town centre.
